Disbonding is the separation of the flexible silicone material from the metal structure of the mask, rendering it more likely to fail.
Turn in the mask if disbonding of more than 1/8 inch has occurred.
A gas mask showing disbonding would not be effective or serviceable.
Look at all metal surfaces inside and outside of the mask, where the silicone material has been glued to the metal.
Disbonding refers to the separation or detachment of two bonded surfaces. It occurs when the adhesive or bonding material fails to maintain its bond strength, causing the surfaces to come apart. Disbonding can be caused by factors such as mechanical stress, temperature changes, moisture, or chemical reactions.
