It is easy to make your own dishwashing liquid for cleaning dishes. The basic ingredients are as follows: 1/4 cup soap flakes 2 cups hot water 1/4 cup glycerin 1/2 teaspoon lemon essential oil If you like using natural products for house cleaning then you will be happy with the solution. To make the dishwashing liquid just combine soap flakes and water in a bowl and stir until the soap is dissolved. Cool to luke warm. Stir in the glycerin and the essential oil and leave the mixture to cool so that it forms a gel. Break up the gel by stirring with a fork or spatula and pour into a bottle like a used shampoo bottle. You'll need about three teaspoons full for a sink of dishes.
