Best Answer

The active transport is carried out with the help of carrier proteins and in several cases these carriers behave like enzymes. The action of such enzymes is a bit different as the solute is transported unchanged to the other side of the membrane.

allows molecules to move however, energy is required, the molecules will therefore move from a low to high concentration gradient.

Its that easy

How cells move things by active transport?

Just guess

Does active transport require a transport protein?

Active transport requires the use of ATP because in active transport things move against the concentration gradient. Usually there is a protien pump (which is a form of a transport protien) that does this.

What are the similarities between facillitated transport and active transport?

Both facilitated transport and active transport move things in and out of the cell. Both movements also depend on the concentration gradient.

What are two differences between active transport and passive transport in terms of energy?

Active transport requires energy for the organism to move things where as passive transport just relies on the net movement of things without the organism interfering.

What is it called when molecules uses energy to move across a semipermeable membrane?

Active transport

What are two ways active transport differs from passive transport?

Active transport is when cells use energy to move things through a cell membrane.Passive transport is when the cell uses no energy to move materials.Active - Specifically uses energy and through a cell membranePassive - Specifically uses no energy and materials

What types of transport require ATP?

The two types of cell trnsport it Passive Transport and Active Transport. Active Transport does require energy to move into and out of the cell. Passive Transport doesn't require energy to move into and out of the cell. Hope I helped!

Active transport requires energy to move a molecule.

What is the process that requires the use of energy to move materials across a membrane?

I believe it's active transport. active transport is correct.
