They built lots of churches and completed the Domesday Book.

The Orthodox Church does the re-enactment of the washing of the feet service on Holy Thursday. This is done in Jerusalem where the Patriarch washes the feet of his priests, and is also done in Greece by the Archbishop of Athens. Other local churches do this, but not all parish churches have their own washing of the feet re-enactments. These re-enactments are done by a bishop (representing Jesus) washing the feet of his priests (representing the 12 disciples), so it is usually done in Orthodox churches when a bishop is present with 12 priests during the service.
What edward done is he made the church better basically he slaughter people if they did not attend to there mass .
This was done during the Great Schism in which the Eastern and Western Churches excommunicated each other.
Before the existence of the Bible in the form of 66 Books which is God's written Word to mankind, for our teaching according to 2 Timothy 3: 16,17. A large portion of the record is made up of actual pronouncements made by Jehovah God and details as to the teachings and activities of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. A report published in 1971 shows that there are possibly 6,000 handwritten copies containing all or part of the Hebrew Scriptures; the oldest dates back to the third century B.C.E. Of the Christian Greek Scriptures, there are some 5,000 in Greek, the oldest dating back to the beginning of the second century C.E Sir Frederic Kenyon wrote: " The first and most important conclusion derived from the examination of them ( the papyri ) is the satisfactory one that they confirm the essential soundness of the existing texts. When Jesus was on earth he taught God's Word to the crowds . Matthew 4: 4 reads " It is written: You must live, not on bread alone, but on every word that comes from Jehovah's mouth. And all that comes from Jehovah God's mouth is written in the Bible, which is the library that was given to mankind and beneficial for teaching and setting things straight, as confirmed in 2 Timothy 3: 16,17. Some of the apostle Paul 's writings reminds Christians to trust the wisdom of God's inspired Word and to rely on it in all they do. 2 Peter 1: 21 reads. " For prophecy was at no time brought by man's will, but men spoke from God as they were moved by holy spirit". Which means that God directed the writing, much as a businessman uses a secretary to write letters for him. The idea of receiving messages from someone out in space should not surprise us. Even humans have sent messages and pictures out of space. The Bible is the letter from God, that Jesus expects everyone to follow, and was not sent to a particular church. In fact Jesus said that he was the way in these words. " I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." Read John 14: 6. So to answer your question. The letter that Jesus gave is the Word, written in 66 Books called the Bible. Kind regards

The main difference is that in the beginning they baptized in lakes and rivers, while today, very few baptisms in western cultures are done outdoors. Most are done in baptistries (baptismal pools) in churches. Most scholars agree that the earliest Christian baptisms were by immersion. Later some churches started using the "sprinkling" method. Also, those same churches began "baptizing" infants.
Stained glass is decorative, and when it is well done it is beautiful. It is most often seen in churches and cathedrals, but it does not have to be based on religious themes.
No, Chantries are endowments for offering masses for the soul's repose in purgatory, however chantries were practiced in churches before 1547 when King Edward VI came to the throne in England and abolished it. However many Catholic churches still practice it today. But just to stress a chantry isnt a church, it is a practice done in catholic churches. Hope this helps!
Another name for Puritan churches is Congregational churches.
