Tectonic Plates
Tectonic Plates
Earths lithosphere is made up of upper mantle. The earths lithosphere is broken into separate sections and it is called as tectonic plates or plate tectonics.
Plate tectonics
The lithosphere.
yes, it is
it is the lithosphere
plate tectionics theory......................:-)
crust and upper mantle
Facts about the Earths's lithosphere:The lithosphere includes the Earths's crust and upper mantle.it is broken into tectonic plates. The uppermost part of the lithosphere is known as the 'pedosphere'. This is the part that reacts to the atmosphere and biosphere through the soil forming process.there are two types of lithosphere - oceanic and continental.Oceanic lithosphere ranges between 50-100 km in thickness.Continental lithosphere ranges between 40 and 200 km in thickness.

the convection currents in the mantle under the earths curst is moving the broken plates in earths lithosphere causing the plates slide across the lithosphere. this process is called tectonics. (jon lay wrote this,)
The crust and uppermost hard rocky mantle, together, is known as the lithosphere, which is above the plastic-like upper mantle area known as the asthenosphere.
