emotional play in childcare is when a child uses a form of play to express their feelings and emotions in different situations, for example a child using puppets will express how they feel through the puppet, if they are being bullied they may say that the puppet is being bullied and it makes the puppet sad or on the other hand they might say the puppet likes story time it makes the puppet feel happy and excited. hope this helps!
