The formal bases for power are

  1. legitimate power ( power given to mangers/executives to make decision for related job issue eg: employment, budgeting etc.)

  3. Coercive power (the opposite of Rewards power, the power to hold or remove something from a person or to punish them for not conforming to the request or expectation)
