Environment refers to the natural surrounding that human beings depends on in their daily life or that they affect in their endeavor to earn a living. For Susan Gorges and Ester Boserup the environmental problems are caused by artificial shortages caused by the bourgeoisie in their plight to make profits and their high levels of consumerism.
