If the start date of the last menstrual period was Monday, October, 26th 2009, then the most likely day of conception was November 9th 2009.
LMP. Conception date would have been about 2 weeks later.
EDD is ESTIMATED. If done by scan is 38 weeks from conception. An EDD is based on the LMP (last menstrual period) and not the date of conception. The ultrasound measurements are comparing the baby to the expected size of other babies at the same gestational age. The earlier the ultrasound is done in the pregnancy, the more accurate it will be. Hope this helps! Dr. B.
i only know LMP is Sep. 28 of the prior year,
Date of conception was March 31st
Your pregnancy date typically starts from the first day of your last menstrual period (LMP). This method is used because it's often difficult to determine the exact date of conception. Pregnancy is usually about 40 weeks long, calculated from the LMP date, which means that conception generally occurs about two weeks after that date.
LMP stands for the date of your Last Menstrual Period. It is used to determine an estimated due date but can be used in basic medical records also
if u are 20 weeks lmp you got pregnant 18 weeks ago so count back 18 weeks but if u want a date u need to give due date or lmp
When you have a dating scan the scanner compares the size of the fetus with the size of fetuses of known gestation. The gestational age assumes that the mother has a regular 28 day cycle and got pregnant 14 days before a period. the gestational age is calculated from this notional LMP. This is accurate in about 85% of cases. If you don't know your LMP and have been given an EDD/gestational age you need to take off 2 weeks to find an estimated date of conception. this website will help you. http://www.genetree.com/about/conception-calculator.asp
I am not sure what the GA is(possibly Gestational Age), EDD is 'Estimated Date of Delivery' (due date) and LMP is 'Last Menstrual Period' from which the EDD is calculated. 40 weeks from LMP is EDD.
...continuing from above, you would have also had to have sex before the conception, am i right?
id say in July would be conception cuz if you count from august to may that's ten months!! Id say that conception occured around August 17th. In order to calculate the date of conception, Google 'how to calculate dates of conception' Healthlink is the best site, they allow u to calculate backwards from your due date to conception.
The earlier it is the more accurate it is whether from conception or from LMP, but if you say 12 weeks you mean from LMP.
