The glaciers have eroded and chemically changed substinences on Africa. Years and years caused large pileups and created vast deposits of hydrocarbons, which are fossil fuels. (Also notice that hydrocarbons has the root hyro- in it, which means water)
In Africa there are scratch marks that could only have been caused by glaciers but Africa is by a hot place by the equate so once it was colder there

Certain continents seem to line up, as if they were once joined. For example, South America and Africa.
