This is how they are formed:
A river carries, (transports) pieces of broken rock to a lake or sea.
The pieces of rock settle at the bottom, (they are deposited)
They then form into layers.
The sediments on top squish down the ones on the bottom, squeezing out all the water between the cracks.
Over time, the sediments slowly cement together.
It usually takes millions of years, but the layers eventually turn into sedimentary rocks.
it is formed by sedimentation of materials from the earths surface and also water.
Physically/mechanically formed sedimentary rock, organically/biologically formed sedimentary rock, and chemically formed sedimentary rock.
sedimentary rock
sedimentary rock is formed by the rock cycle
Clastic sedimentary rock is the usual type of rock formed from the products of rock weathering.
Clastic and nonclastic
Mechanically formed sedimentary rock , Chemically formed sedimentary rock and Organically formed sedimentary rock.
Physically/mechanically formed sedimentary rock, organically/biologically formed sedimentary rock, and chemically formed sedimentary rock.
Sedimentary rock formed from sand is called sandstone.
Sedimentary rock can be formed from lithified sediments.
sedimentary rock
Sedimentary rock, like limestone, is formed in layers.
Sedimentary rock.

False Sedimetary rocks can be formed from changes in igneous rock, and igneous rock can be from changes in sedimentary rock.
Sandstone is the sedimentary rock formed from weathered rock.
