In the USPC foxhunting is usually going with an adult on a special Junior Meet that most hunts will do in conjunction with the local pony club. These meets are usually shorter and slower than most hunts but you get to talk a lot with your friends. I would advise going on one of these first if you have a green horse, just to get him/her used to foxhunting.

If foxhunting is banned there would be a few thousand people whose lives are completely based on foxhunting who would be out of a job with, usually little other education, and in any economy this would be a big hit. Also what would you do with the hounds, you can't adopt them - they're not potty trained, not very smart, herd bound, and will run away. But they are too cute to euthanize. Also what would be the point of euthanizing 1,000,000 hounds to save 100,000 foxes when foxhunters maybe 3 foxes a year per hunt club. Again foxhunts are too engrained in the ecosystem to just pull out all at once... My answer is no in most cases, but there are always exceptions to the rule...
