Religion is a strong belief and conviction of any individual or a community to surrender in conscious humility to the unresolved mysteries and phenomenons in Creations of the cosmic universe in their limited rationality.

This religious thought and practices have erroneously been accepted by communities and states as 'Religion'.If a nation proscribes by amendments freedom from religion it implies freedom of any individual from the beliefs and convictions accepted by the community/nations as 'religion'.

In ancient vedic thought religion is duty( Dharma) . Duty of every individual differs as levels in social function towards self, duty towards his family, duty towards his nation etc. A king may have his religion (duty or Dharma) towards his subjects.

It may be pointed out that as long as every individual has beliefs and convictions he cannot be free from his religion, be it belief and convictions in the Supreme Creator or even his own duty..
