Fusion ignition refers to the manner in which a fusion reaction is "ignited" to make it happen. In nature stars, which are huge fusion reactors, using their enormous pressure to compress and heat matter (mostly hydrogen) when they are first formed. This massive heating and pressure "triggers" or "ignites" the fusion chain reaction. The chain will then be sustained by the heat given off during the fusion process, with massive gravity keeping the whole thing "under control" or "in one place" so it will continue. During this process the hydrogen is pushed/compressed together so far that it goes past the repulsive nuclear forces (which produces the nuclear fusion energy) and is then converted into the element known as helium.

This refers to reaching the very high temperature required to achieve nuclear fusion. It could be in a tokamak type reactor such as JET, or the laser being built in California

What is the advantage of using tritium with deuterium in a hydrogen bomb?

Using tritium with deuterium in a hydrogen bomb allows for a more efficient fusion reaction by increasing the rate of fusion and the yield of the bomb. Tritium and deuterium isotopes react at lower temperatures and pressures compared to pure deuterium, making the fusion process easier to initiate and sustain. Additionally, tritium is a potent source of neutrons, which can increase the efficiency of the fusion reaction.

What would cause a ignition coil go bad in a 2006 Ford Fusion?

An ignition coil in a 2006 Ford Fusion can go bad due to several factors, including heat exposure, electrical overload, or age-related wear. Over time, insulation breakdown can occur, leading to short circuits or misfires. Additionally, issues such as faulty spark plugs or a failing engine control module (ECM) can place extra strain on the ignition coil, contributing to its failure. Regular maintenance and timely replacement of spark plugs can help prolong the life of the ignition coil.

How do you reset the Throttle Position Sensor on a Ford Fusion?

To reset the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) on a Ford Fusion, first, ensure the vehicle is off. Then, turn the ignition to the "On" position without starting the engine, and wait for about 10 seconds. Next, press the accelerator pedal to the floor and hold it for about 10 seconds, then release it. Finally, turn the ignition off and start the engine; this should reset the TPS.

remove the plastic ring around the button you push on the shifter to switch gears, the car thinks it's still in drive and won't release the key. The ring removal will release it, but the actual fix involves replacing the whole shifter...

How large is a fusion ignition star?

Stellar fusion is largely a function of mass and temperature. The smallest fusion star is generally considered to be about 15 jovian masses (15 times the size of Jupiter), or roughly 1/100th (0.001) times the mass of our sun. There are other things, such as companion stars or abundances of heavy elements that can affect this. What you are asking about is a field of study known as astrophysics. Quite fascinating.

What does the 2008 ford fusion coil keep burning?

If the ignition coil in a 2008 Ford Fusion keeps burning out, it could be due to several factors, such as a faulty coil itself, electrical issues like a short circuit, or problems with the ignition system, such as worn spark plugs or a malfunctioning ignition control module. Overheating caused by excessive voltage or poor connections may also contribute to the problem. It's important to diagnose the underlying cause to prevent repeated failures and ensure the vehicle runs smoothly. A thorough inspection by a qualified mechanic is recommended to address the issue effectively.
