The Sears/Craftsman manual reqiures a 16:1 fuel mix. That is 8 oz. of 2-cycle oil to 1 gal. of gas. This is assuming you don't buy the generic "oil for all mixtures" stuff.

To create an oil mixture for your Craftsman weedwacker, you'll generally mix 2.6 ounces of oil with 1 gallon of gas. Always consult your weedwacker's manual for specific guidelines, and use a high-quality 2-cycle oil designed for small engines to ensure proper lubrication and performance. Be sure to mix the oil and gas thoroughly before fueling your weedwacker.

40:1 is the correct mixture for the fuel and 2 cycle oil. 3 oz. of 2 cycle oil per gallon of gas. I have Craftsman Line Trimmer 358.795190 (Model #). It has the quick release shaft for other attachments. Hopefully this will help you.

40:1
To connect the gas line for a Sears model 358.798420 weedwacker, first ensure the engine is off and cool. Locate the fuel lines, typically one leading from the fuel tank to the carburetor and another returning to the tank. Attach the fuel line securely to the carburetor inlet and ensure the return line is connected properly to avoid leaks. Always check for any kinks or obstructions before starting the engine.
