gidha is indian punjabi cultural dance that is mainly done by women. these women stand in a semi - circle while they perform and at the same time they clap their hands in a fast rythm. they also sing little songs which go for around half a minute. the songs are danced to by 2 particular women from the semi - circle who come to the middle of it. the songs are known as "bolian"in punjabi. the words of the bolian often include the names of certain punjabi relationships and they're behaviour.
