The next generation of British aircraft capable of bombing roles is said to be the BAE Systems Taranis Bomber, the first ever autonomous stealth Unmanned Combat Air Vehicle (UCAV) that would ultimately be capable of precisely striking targets at long range, even in another continent. The aircraft is still in its prototype and testing stages and is built to carry out bombing, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance on enemy territory using onboard sensors.
