A small amount in medicine and dentistry. A somewhat larger amount in electronics. A great deal in jewelry, of course. And that's about it. Golds timeless appeal is it's "yellow gleam" and it's scarcity. But market value aside, a pound of gold is nowhere near as valuable in as many ways to mankind as a pound of iron, or copper, or aluminum is.
