A hair net is also known an caul. It is elasticized and is used in the laboratory as a safety device to keep hair contained.
A hair net serves two purposes,it prevents hair and scalp debris from falling off the person and contaminating the clean environment of the laboratory (and potentially damaging product. When the hair is long it prevents it becoming entangled in any moving machinery, catching fire near a flame, becoming contaminated with chemicals/oils and therefore helps the worker stay safe.
Where a hair net I know is one of them. Also you have to wash your hands after you go to the bathroom whereever you work.
Long hair should be tied back when working in the laboratory
Net weaving is a permanent way of putting one's hair (a style) where a net is attach to a client's head, then attaching the hair to the net.
The way I do it is to tuck up the back of your hair to the top of your head and fold depending on the lenght of your hair. Then put the net over your hair and then move your hand and put the front of the net on the very top of your forehead.
The function of the hair net is to control loose hair so that it does not fall into and contaminate the food being prepared.
Well it depends because when I had my hair braided I never put it into a hair net but it might as well help the hair to stay nicer.
For your hair ?
Long hair should be kept up, in a hair net.
When you are cooking food you need to wear a hair net but it is not necessary when you are waiting tables.
Wear a hat or a hair net.
