Often you will want new slides to be almost identical to slides you have, like having similar styles, colours, headings etc. So instead of creating it from scratch each time, you can duplicate existing slides and then make the adjustments you need. That is quicker and gives you more consistency.

When you go to print the slides and the print dialog box comes up, on the lower left hand side select "Handouts" from the "Print what:" drop down. Then the 'Handouts'dialog box will be actived, from the drop down you can select how many slides you want to print per page (1, 3, 6 or 9). You can also select if you want them to print across and then down (horizontal) or down first and then across (vertical) :)
the hanging drop procedure uses a thicker slide, which could crack if the oil immersion lens is used. My bio professor worte: hanging drop slides asre too thick to use under oil.
