Rainforests and the other habitats they are living in are increasingly being used and destroyed by man and this is reducing their places to live and feed and it is threatening their existence.
the orangutans habitat is getting destroyed because people are taking down trees and the jungle in which they live in to grow crops, i think that it is palm oil or something. not to sure what they grow but that is the reason.
every year more than 5% of the jungle is taken away leaving at least a few hundred orangutans without homes.
why do humans be so cruel. if we can have homes why can't they have them too?
