While this can certainly be true in small rural areas, for the most part, homeschooling is so mainstream now that you can find homeschoolers everywhere; there's a homeschool support group for just about any style, religion, or interest.
Some people worry that their child might not be able to get into college if they're homeschooled. Fortunately, this has been proved completely false; in fact, colleges LOVE homeschoolers!
