It is a fictional story, set around a historical event. There are often movies about soldiers during a war, where the war really did happen, but the soldiers themselves did not exist and their story was a work of fiction by an author. Some events are so long ago that we really don't know what happened, but stories and films are often made of fictional people in these times, set around events that we know did happen. So that is historical fiction.

∙ 15y agoThere are two kinds : stories set in the known past ... and stories told (written) by victors and/or losers in battles (you should try reading a British history of the Revolutionary War - with the colonies).
