Where is the influenza virus likely to be found?

Hello there! Now that is a question I have been looking for as I have researched the flu virus itself ✊ There are four types of flu virus- A, B, C, and the newly arrived D type Type As are known to cause outbreaks from epidemics to pandemics like the 1918 Spanish Flu which claimed millions of lives (better get that flu jab!!). Type B (IBV) has two predominant strains, Victoria and Yamagata, which I remember well. Types C and D (ICV and IDV) don't cause anything serious, for now. Type A flu viruses are found mainly in waterfowl or simply aquatic birds, for example, ducks. IBVs are found in humans, dogs, pigs, horses, and seals. ICVs are detected in pigs, dogs, cattle, and dromedary camels. Lastly, IDVs are found in cattle. Hope this helped you! 😄
