Animal cells have three organelles which are not in plant cells:

  1. Centrioles - help with cell reproduction (exist in pairs in the cell).
  2. Lysosomes - destroy worn out parts of the cell and get rid of bacteria
  3. Flagellum - act in self-propulsion or also called locomotion

Animal cells have Centrosome with two centrioles.They help during cell division plants centrioles are absent and appear only during cell division.

They also have lysosomes which help break down dead organelles. Animal cell's don't the following organelles:

1)Cell wall

2)Chlorophyl

3) Cloroplasts
