Green tea is made exclusively from the leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant. The leaves have been gathered and heated (by steaming or pan-firing) to stop the oxidation process so the leaves retain their green color (this is why they don't turn black like black tea).

Sometimes green teas are blended with other ingredients; these are technically called flavored teas and are not strictly green tea.
