In some cultures, parents will arrange for their children to marry while they are still children, just to ensure that their future is planned out for them as soon as possible, and they won't have to worry about who they will eventually marry. Of course, there is no guarantee that the married children will grow up to be a happily married couple. Such children may or may not like the choice that their parents made for them.
