The singularity. A place outside of the universe. For example, think of a giant grid, representing space-time. The more gravity an object has, the bigger dent that it has in space-time. The earth and sun give small dents or gravity wells. But a massive to supermassive black hole, the dent is not just a dent, it is a "bottomless" well. Inside the singularity, all things cease to be. No color, sound, smells, matter, or existence itself. The singularity is a place where time, space, and the laws of physics, fall apart.
Anything, down to atomic nuclei and nucleons, is completely torn by the tidal forces of gravity when getting close to the centre. That's one of the reasons which makes this point be called i a singularity: physics is unable to describe what 'remains' if anything at that point. None of the stuff that we know of, that's for sure. The only real thing about a black hole is that very queer local space-time metric which makes it black and reduces to nothing whatever falls inside.
You are most likely talking about whats beyond the event horizon. When you get inside you will probably get stretched. If a viewer from outside watches you, he will probably see you standing still because the viewer is outside the black hole's gravity when you are actually going down the black hole faster than the speed of light. Scientist still don't know whats beyond the event horizon. Scientist call this gravity singularity. Singularity means I don't know.
A singularity is at the centre of a black hole.
Compression infinitesimally small, infinite density, the equations of physics fail to produce sensible answers.awesome
"Singularity" meaning which is where extremely large amounts of matter are crushed into an infinetly small amount of space.
There is no black hole in our solar system. It is believed, however, that there is a black hole at the center of the Milky Way Galaxy, and that there are black holes at the center of every galaxy.
At the center of a black hole is a mass that has collapsed to an infinitely dense point.
The center of a black hole, a locus of infinite density where matter is compressed into zero volume, is called a 'singularity.'
The object swallowed by the black hole is destroyed; its mass is added to the mass of the black hole.
They will merge to form a single black hole with the combined mass of the town that merged.
When an object enters a black hole, it starts being stretched. As it moves closer and closer to the center of the black hole, the gravitational pull on the part of the object that is closer to the center becomes more powerful than the gravitation pull on the part of the object that is farther away from the center. The objects keeps on getting stretched until it reaches the center of the black hole. We don't yet know what happens at that point.
A singularity is at the centre of a black hole.
There is no black hole in our solar system. It is believed, however, that there is a black hole at the center of the Milky Way Galaxy, and that there are black holes at the center of every galaxy.
It seems that just about EVERY galaxy has a huge ("supermassive") black hole in its center.
every galaxy got a black hole in the center even our galaxy, the milky way.
It is believed that all galaxies have a black hole at their centers.
singularity
A blazar is an elliptical galaxy with a supermassive black hole at the center.
That's not exactly what happens. What really happens is that they just absorb each other and become a bigger black hole.
At the center of a black hole is a mass that has collapsed to an infinitely dense point.
ALL larger galaxies have a black hole in their center.
The center of a black hole, a locus of infinite density where matter is compressed into zero volume, is called a 'singularity.'
