There are either herbivores that eat plants (cows, horses, etc) or carnivores that eat animals (like lions, dogs, tigers, etc) or omnivores that eat both plants and animals (like us, humans).
Heterotrophs are organisms that consume other organisms (such as autotrophs).
Other words are cannibal, consumer, and predators.

∙ 13y agoAn animal that eats animals exclusively is called a carnivore. An animal that eats both meat and plants is an omnivore. An animal that eats plants is called herbivore. Therefore, if an animal eats only animals, it's a carnivore.
It is called life. when an amimal eats another animal that eats only vegitation, it is called the natural cycle of the food chain.
