A mother's excessive alcohol use during pregnancy can sometimes result in what is called "Fetal Alcohol Syndrome".
birth defects or so called "mutations" can be caused by genetics, toxins crossing placenta during pregnancy, a large number of pregnancy complications and problems at delivery including loss of air, loss of blood and medications such as pain relievers crossing the placenta. Drinking alcohol, even once, during pregnancy can cause fetal alcohol syndrome.
Drinking alcohol is called ethanol, and it contains carbon, hydrogen and oxygen. (C6H5OH)
Called Grain Alcohol, drinking alcohol, ethyl alcohol or pure alcohol
Drinking alcohol, also known as ethanol (ethyl alcohol).
Temperance
THERE IS DEFINATE RESEARCH AND DATA that shows that drinking during pregnancy puts at risk of having a baby born with F.A.S. (fetal alcohol syndrome). Medium to heavy drinking during a pregnancy can cause damage to a growing fetus; physical deformities: smaller heads, smaller eyes that seemed "webbed" (resembles a child's eyes that has Down syndrome), slower growth and development, thin flat upper lip (no crease), and ALSO things you can't see: possible heart damage, emotional problems; impulse control problems, learning problems, most have some degree of mental retardation....I worked with a young boy with FASand it wasn't easy. He was loveable and pretty smart, but his problems were MANY. AND if the drinking is not severe enough to cause FAS, the baby can be born with a milder case called F.A.E. These children are born without the physical deformities, however they also have problems that are not immediately evident: learning problems and other emotional problems.....IT REALLY ISN'T A GOOD THING TO DRINK ALCOHOL WHILE PREGNANT!! <<>>peaunuts are yucky and you are gay
This is called Plungering or Anal Drinking.
Temperance Movement
This is known as "responsible" drinking.
White Russian is an alcoholic drink and SHOULD BE AVOIDED during pregnancy. Alcohol causes many birth defects. Exposing the baby to alcohol during your pregnancy increases the chances of the baby having Fetal Alcohol Syndrome which refers to growth, mental and physical problems that may occur in a baby whose mother drank during her pregnancy. No amount of alcohol is considered safe during pregnancy.
