You can't drop out in CA with/without parents permission. You will be required to attend continuation high school or get a GED. Your parents can be taken to court and fined for not sending you to school. It is called SARB.
Kids stay out of trouble in Summer because they cant get bored. They will be in school intead of at home by themselves during the day when their parents arent home. More learning time

Some kids are but others are actually making their parents go broke...... But others drop out of school and leave their parents and put themselves in hoorifying poverty issues and that way they are broke and there parents are rich....but in some cases parents are rich and just give their kids money

This process is called SARB, but before this they try to get the parents to bring the student to classes/school. The student also doesn't meet graduation/promotion requirements because of the missing days.
