Once a star explodes, it's no longer a star. The explosion itself is referred to as a "Super Nova."
The noise that occurs as the result of an explosion is known as a shock wave, or concussion, and this happens due to the rapid expansion of gasses.

Explosion
A crater that becomes very large as a result of the collapse of its walls is called a caldera. Calderas are typically formed after a volcanic eruption when the magma chamber empties and the summit collapses into the void below.
When the thermistor in the circuit is heated, its resistance decreases due to the negative temperature coefficient of thermistors. This reduction in resistance allows more current to flow through the circuit. As a result, the increased current causes the lamp to receive more power, leading to a brighter illumination.
the explosion was a cataclysmic result
When a massive star dies, gravity forces it to fall in on itself, and the result is a gigantic explosion called a hypernova. The leftover of a hypernova is a black hole.
The process is called desertification.
Turtle Wexler is injured in the second explosion in "The Westing Game." She suffers a fractured ankle as a result.
Groundwater that comes in contact with magma or rocks heated by magma can boil into steam. If it boils quickly enough it can result in an explosion called a phreatic eruption.
Batholith rock.
An explosion is caused by fuel burning very rapidly. The products of combustion expand rapidly and with extreme force, and the result is what we call an explosion. So...if you put gasoline on a fire and it explodes, as it will, the explosion was caused by the fire.
