There are three main types of rainfall, convectional rainfall, relief rainfall and frontal rainfall. Relief rainfall is when the warm moist air from the sea (Atlantic Ocean) is forced to rise over mountains and as the moist air gets higher it gets colder so it gradually condenses and becomes water droplets and it rains/ prcipitates. Relief rainfall is common along the west side of Britain where there are more high lands. Convestional rainfall is when the sun comes out and heats up the land, this causes the air around it to become warm too. The warm air currents rise and as it rises it gets colder so it gradually condenses and the water vapou become water droplets and it rains/precipitates. Convectional rainfall is mostly common around towards the south of Britain in the summer. Frontal rainfall is when cold air and warm air meet, the warm, light air wants to get past the heavy cold air so it casually rises above it. Its rising makes it get colder which makes the warm air cold air, it condenses and guess what? It rains/ precipitates! Frontal rainfall is mostly common all over Britain especially in the winter.
the reason it rains in the afternoon in the rainforest is because during the night there is no sun to heat the air or the ground which means there is no energy to start the convection rainfall cycle but towards the afternoon the air and ground warms so the process can begin
Brisbane doesn't get hit by Cyclones that often but they can strike the area anytime in the warmer months. They normally form in the Coral Sea (around 10'S) between November and April and sometimes track south and head towards Brisbane and can cause extreme damage and flooding, even if they do not make landfall.
For the whole entire Maine state, the average rainfall is 43.24 in.
when the sun shines over the tropic of Capricorn then in northern hemisphere experience winter. the air over the land is cold and heavy and there is high pressure over the land. The surrounding water bodies are relatively warm and are areas of high pressure. Thus, wind blow from the land towards the sea. These are off shore winds, donnot bring rainfall.

The flooding in Rockhampton was primarily the result of Cyclone Tasha, which crossed the coast near Cairns. Although only a category 1 cyclone, Tasha unleashed an enormous amount of rainfall right down to central Queensland. The Fitzroy River, which flows through Rockhampton, has a long history of flooding. It has one of the largest catchment areas in Queensland, so a large amount of the rainfall fell directly into the catchment that feeds the Fitzroy. Really, the main reason why the 2010-2011 floods happened in Rockhampton was, quite simply, because of the unusual amount of rain. Australia spends many years in drought, often caused by the El Niño effect. When an El Niño occurs, changes in sea surface temperatures cause a shift in air pressure which, in turn, can result in climatic anomalies, such as severe droughts in Australia. These years are punctuated by years of normal rainfall, but occasionally, Australia gets the opposite to an El Niño, which is La Niña. This means that weather conditions are in reverse to those seen during El Niño, and Australia experiences far more rain than usual. Australia has been coming out of an El Niño for some time, which means that many parts of Australia have seen gradually increasing rainfall. Queensland already experienced flooding in early 2009, and higher than normal rainfall in 2010, increasing towards the end of the year. By then, the ground was simply too saturated to hold any more water. Add to that the effects of the cyclone which crossed the north Queensland coast at Christmas time, bringing excessive rainfall to north and central Queensland, and the ground was waterlogged.

Antarctica
The Caboolture River is 40 kilometers North of Brisbane, Australia. The total area is 370 square kilometers. It flows easterly towards the coast. The average rainfall is 1800 millimeters.
The continent of South America extends southward towards the continent of Antarctica. The South Pole is located on the continent of Antarctica.
Indonesia is not in a continent, it is an archipelago of islands off the south east tip of Asia stretching out towards Australia and New Guinea.
The main contributing factors that humans contribute to flooding problems are deforestation and over grazing. In both of these instances too much of the vegetation is being removed, which will cause the land to break away and flood.
