What is it like in hell?

It is pitch black, It is burning hot, hotter than any fire, and you are tormented forever and you don't die, you are already dead if you are there.

Hell is not someplace you want to go to.

How to Avoid:

Confess with you mouth and believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is Lord so you will be saved. Ask Jesus to forgive your sins and believe in your heart, that He died on the cross and He was resurrected from the dead. You should also live your live the way Jesus wanted us to live.

Since no living mortal has ever gone "there" and returned back to normal life, nobody really knows. Different religions may have depictions of what hell is supposedly like.

Conversely, no living mortal has ever gone to heaven and returned either ... again it's all what each person believes in ... kinda like believing in the Easter Bunny, or the great pumpkin.

When we (Christians) reach heaven, we'll look like our Father God (Jesus) at

33 1/2 yrs old and be that way for eternity.

If a person is an atheist (someone that denies God, i.e. hates God), they will look like their father Satan.

Satan is a worm (Greek: a red maggot), so the hell bound folks will look like their father, a big old red maggot.

How can we know? When the notion of hell was being developed, it was assumed to be a physical place, just as heaven is a physical place just above the sky. Gradually it was perceived that hell was a place of eternal fires, searing the souls condemned to hell.

Science has shown that heaven and hell can not be located in any physical location in the universe. Religion has therefore adapted by saying that hell is not so much a physical place, but a spiritual state of eternal torment. If recent religious belief is true, then the dead can not suffer from heat, cold, pain, hunger or any other physical form of punishment.
