It's like thoughts streaming from your mind to the page. At first you start writing but it growths. Sometimes you don't know what you're writing. IT'S MOST OF ALL FUN!!!! Seeing your thoughts in print is instantly gratifying, if a book or computer page.

Is it best to just write when you're writing a book?

It is best to just write when writing a book; as you can edit things that do not add to the plot of the story later on. When writing, you need to figure out a story plot and setting which will be figured out once you begin writing. Some people like to jump in and just begin writing, while some people like to plan out their whole story before writing. You can go both ways, but just doing the writing without worrying about the plot and setting until it comes is easier and more free. Planning ahead in your book is good to do as well as just writing. Planning ahead in your off writing time will help you understand what you're looking for in your book. However, planning ahead is not used by all writers. Some writers will just write their book then go and edit parts out, mainly the twist and the end of their plot. However, writing is the best thing you can do when writing a book. The plot and setting will come in time, but the best thing to do is just to grab a piece of paper and a pen and begin writing.

How do you write a book series?

Writing a series is more complicated than just writing one book. You have to keep track of everything you write so you don't have Uncle George in Book 1 turn into Aunt Georgina in Book 3. Most authors have a "Bible" where they keep important facts like neighbor's names and what the house looks like and where the street is in the city and other stuff.Aside from that, you just plant your butt in a chair and start writing.
