Insert the DVD and then shut you Mac down. Push the power button while holding down the C key. If for some reason it does not boot from the DVD then hold down the Option key while starting the computer. That will bring up the Startup Manager where you can choose to boot from the DVD.
There is no apple key on a newer iMac.
If the PC does not have a boot-able operating system you can not. You will have to get hold of a Windows 7 boot-able DVD or USB pen containing the same edition as your key and boot install it.

Your Bios has an option to boot from your DVD Drive or external drive. If the internal or external drive has no boot sector or disc with a boot sector the system will not boot. You can buy a windows DVD from a computer store and boot from the DVD to install windows. Insert the disc into the computer, switch it off, then switch it back on either holding F10 or F12 (or the key that will open the boot menu) then choose the DVD using the arrow keys and press enter. Give it a few minutes to process and then follow the on screen instructions.
