Leberkas is a traditional dish served in Bavaria, Germany. It is literally translated to mean "liver cheese" but is made with neither liver or cheese. It consists of corned beef, bacon and onions and is made by grinding the ingredients very fine and then baking it as a loaf in a bread pan until it has a crunchy brown crust. Many times it is heated slighty in a frying pan and served with an egg and a side of roasted potatoes. It is also eaten on a Bavarian roll called a "semmel" with some Bavarian mustard.
