The cambrian mountains get a lot of rainfall because they are near the coast of England so the water evaporates when it is warm and as it gets closer to the mountains it condenses and turn into clouds the rain mostly falls on one side of the mountain and less on the other this type of rainfall is called relief rainfall
One side of a mountain range will have significantly less precipitation than the other side due to the height of the mountain. The clouds that carry the water for precipitation, may be blocked by the tall mountains.
Often, the rain or snow falls on only one side of the mountain, the windward side. The other side of the mountain, the leeward side, which receives much less rain or snow. is said to be ' rain shadow'
Because the atmosphere gets denser as elevation increases.

no one knows. We are trying to do it at school sorry
Several factors, for one, if you're on the wrong side of the mountain you could have a desert climate on your side. If you're on the other side you get a lot of water. Farming on the mountain itself is difficult because of the change in altitude and how cold it gets. The higher up on a mountain you go the less vegetation you'll find.
There are basically three ways to get to the other side of a mountain. If a tunnel is present, you can go through. If not, it's either go over by going up one side and down the other, or going around the mountain to get to the other side.
If one side of the mountain has a lot of water, and there is a really high mountain range, then the water can't get over top, then the rain stays on the one side. Hope this helps :) Please recommend me :)
A desert is defined as a region that receives less than 10 inches (250 mm) of rainfall per year. Some deserts receive much less.
