Limestone (basically Calcium carbonate) is used to adjust the pH or acidity level of agricultural soils (and also domestic garden soils).
It is normally applied to soils which may be to acidic to support balanced plant growth (i.e. soils with a pH of less than 7) in an effort to neutralize the acidic effects and return the low pH value to a more neutral level (optimal pH range for plant growth is 5.5 to 7.5).
The amount of Limestone applied is determined by the rise in pH that you wish to achieve, in agricultural practice this is normally done by performing a soil pH test at an agricultural laboratory; the consultant will then prescribe the application rate of Limestone per hectare
Limestone is a sedimentary rock consisting primarily of the mineral calcite (CaCO3). In farming it is used to make the soil less acidic.
It stops the soil from becomming too acidic by increasing the pH level
Fertilizers and pesticides are chemical products.
we wouldn't have these- -Limestone is used in buildings and roads. - Limestone can be used in glass making. - Limestone is used in toothpaste. - Limestone is used in cement and mortar. - Limestone is used in bread and cereals as a source of calcium. - Limestone is used to make paper white. -Limestone is used to purify sugar. -Pulverized limestone is used to neutralize acidic soils. -Limestone can be used to make brake pads. -Limestone is used in the preparation of wools and dyes. -Limestone is used to make antacids. -Limestone is used in climbing walls. -Limestone is used a suppression of methane explosions in underground coalmines. -Limestone is added to plastics, paint, tiles and other materials as both white pigment and cheap filler. -Limestone is used in the manufacture of quicklime (calcium oxide) and slaked lime (calcium hydroxide). -Limestone can be used to create steel by using it in a blast furnace.
In paints, limestone is used as a filter extending expensive pigments. Limestone is calcium carbonate with the chemical formula of CaCO3.
The alkali present in limestone neutralizes the stomach acid.
Limestone Uses:Used as aggregate or base for roads and foundations.Used in the purification of molten glass.Used to remove impurities from molten iron.Used as filler and abrasive in toothpastes.Used in the production of Portland cement.Used as an aggregate in concrete.Used as a soil conditioner for neutralizing acidic soils.Used as a source of calcium in supplements and food additives.Used to make paper white.Used in the purification of sugar.Used in the manufacture of brake pads.Used in the manufacture of medicinal antacids.Used in the preparation of wools and dyes.Used as a construction stone in buildings.Used as counter tops and flooring.Used as a water neutralizer.Used as a paint additive.Used as landscaping rock.
Limestone is used as stone building blocks, Limestone is used in the manufacture of cement.
Fertilizers and pesticides are chemical products.
It is important bcuz it is used to make chemicals and stuff and fertilizers for farming
No organic products can be used to control weeds, and this is one of the biggest problems in organic farming.
Limestone wares away. this prevents poisonous plants from growing on the hill
The top material mined in Florida is phosphate which is used in fertilizer. Other products mines in Florida are limestone and clay.

Where Canberra is now located was once rich farming land known as Limestone Plains. It was used for both crops and stock.
and i think it is true not false
Limestone
The most common minerals used for road building would be quartz (in the form of sand), and calcite (in the form of limestone).
The conclusions of the process of farming are farm products ready for market.
