You can make litmus paper test strips to determine the pH of an aqueous solution by treating filter paper with any of the common pH indicators. One of the first indicators used for this purpose was litmus. Litmus paper is paper that has been treated with a specific indicator - a mixture of 10-15 natural dyes obtained from lichens (mainly Roccella tinctoria) that turns red in response to acidic conditions (pH < 7) and blue under alkaline conditions (pH > 7). When the pH is neutral (pH = 7) then the dye is purple. The first known use of litmus was around 1300 AD by Spanish alchemist Arnaldus de Villa Nova.

It seems there may be a typo. The correct term is "litmus paper," which is a type of paper used to test the acidity or alkalinity of a substance. It changes color depending on the pH level of the substance it is dipped into.

Is coated paper the same as fine paper or woodfree paper or art paper?

When some type of coating is applied to base paper it is called coated paper. Coated paper is not called as fine paper. Fine paper is bleached writing and printing paper. Woodfree paper is the paper made without using mechanically pulped fiber. Woodfree does not mean free of wood fibers. Art paper is typically the paper used for high class multicolor printing. All coated papers can be categorized as fine paper, woodfree or art paper but reverse is not true as all fine paper or woodfree paper or art paper are not coated paper.
