How do you replace an O2 sensor on a Plymouth breeze?
This is on a 1999 Plymouth Breeze. There are two O2 Sensors. Bank 2 is between the engine and the firewall. You will have to lift up the front end and reach it from the bottom side. There is a 7/8" nut attaching the sensor to the exhaust. You will need a long handled open end to reach up through this area and the car needs to be allowed to cool first. This end could also be ceased onto the exhaust so you may need to allow WD-40 or some other lubrcant to sit on it over night for it to loosen. Remove the nut end and unclip the electrical end. This is the difficult part one handed due to the space limitations. Make sure you have plenty of light to assist with the reattachment of the electrical end. Bank 1 is close to the catalytic convertor on the passenger side. It is easy to get to and replace. Same as before just loosen the nut and undo the electrical end. The part I have not figured out yet is the clip that holds the wires up. the rest is easy. Warning! Do not get any lubricant on the sensor end or it will mess up the part.
