First Answer: eNGLEND Second Answer: Madam Walker was born Sarah Breedlove in 1867. Her parents Owen and Minerva Anderson Breedlove were living on a plantation in Delta, Louisiana at the time. Their birthplaces are not known for sure, but it is believed they may have been born in Tennessee or North Carolina and brought as enslaved people to the Burney plantation in Delta, Louisiana.

Born in extreme poverty, she made her fortune with a line of hair care products that she invented and marketed. She lived from 1867 to 1919. I am not aware of any particular famous quote connected with her, though.
