The reaction is:
2HCl + Na2CO3 = 2NaCl + CO2 + H2O
when any carbonates react with hydrochloric acid will be i.e. sodium carbonate+hydrochloric acid =sodium chloride
Carbon Dioxide
Sodium carbonate react with hydrochloric acid !
Sodium Hydrogen Carbonate + Hydrochloric Acid --> Water + Carbon Dioxide + Sodium Chloride NaHCO3 + HCl --> H2O + CO2 + NaCl
Sodium Chloride , water and Carbon Dioxide is formed causing "gassing"
Because the gas carbon dioxide is produced.
acid + carbonate ==> salt + water + carbon dioxide So Na2CO3 + 2HCl ==> 2NaCl + H2O + CO2
sodium carbonate, Na2CO3 react with hydrochloric acid, HCl to produce sodium chloride, NaCl, water, H2O and carbon dioxide, CO2
Sodium hydrochloride
Sodium hydrogen carbonate is another name for sodium bicarbonate, which has the chemical formula NaHCO3. Stomach acid is hydrochloric acid that reacts with sodium bicarbonate in a chemical reaction to neutralize stomach acid. The chemical equation is HCl + NaHCO3 produces NaCl + CO2 + H2O.
