What is the best product for cleaning Marblux vanity tops?
Daily Care: To protect the finish of your Marblux vanity top,
clean only with non-abrasive soaps or liquid detergents. Use
cleaners that are appropriate for use on mirrors or windows to keep
the surface clean and glossy. Using abrasive cleaners will dull the
finish of your vanity top, and continued use will cause permanent
damage to the finish.
Staining: Do not use strong chemicals such as bleach or ammonia
to clean your Marblux vanity top. Your top's finish is highly
resistant to staining by most household agents, but repeated
exposure to strong chemicals can cause discoloration.
Restoring the Sheen: Occasionally applying a coat of
high-quality automotive wax or Gel Gloss will keep the surface
shining brightly.
Hot Water: Avoid excessively high water temperatures. Exposure
to water temperatures above 150° F can cause the bowl to crack and
will void the warranty.
Scratches and Dents: The surfaces of cultured marble and onyx,
although hard, can be scratched with hard or sharp objects. Most
small surface scratches can be easily removed by applying a fine
automotive rubbing compound and buffing to a high luster. Deeper
scratches may require sanding lightly with 600 grit wet sandpaper,
followed by rubbing compound and automotive wax to restore the
finish.
Lime-Scale Deposits: Lime-scale is a major staining agent in
kitchen and bathroom sinks and results from dried calcium deposits
left by hard water. The porous lime-scale layer is especially
susceptible to coffee and tea stains. Care should be used to
prevent such deposits from forming, by cleaning with a
calcium-removal cream or a vinegar-based solution.
