This is a title which often appears in the Windows operating system that describes a class of device . It most often appears in the lower right corner of the screen when you connect a flash drive, mp3 player, or memory card to your computer. Basically, a "USB mass storage device" is a "Device" which connects through a "USB" port and "stores massive" amounts of memory.
A computer hard drive or drives
A usb cable is not a device. A USB drive would be a Storage Device and still not be an Input or Output device. A USB keyboard would be an input device and a USB printer would be an output device.

If you have the skills to create your own USB device, you should have the skills necessary to write a device driver for it.
A USB stick is both an input and an output device. Data can be written to the stick, and can be extracted from the stick.
USB 1.0 and USB 2.0 are similar but USB 2.0 provides for a much faster data transfer rate. The USB 1.0 specification operates at 12Mbit/s and the USB 2.0 specification operates at 480Mbits/s Although a 1.0 device cannot operate at 2.0 speeds, the two are compatible. Connecting a USB 1.0 device to a USB 2.0 port or connecting a USB 2.0 device to a USB 1.0 port are both possible. Any device, port or hub that is a 1.0 standard will reduce the data rate to the 1.0 standard. The USB 2.0 specification was adopted in 2001 and most USB devices now conform to the later standard. Older computers may have USB 1.0 ports fitted but will still operate without problems for most applications.
windows does not need to know the device name if it shows the device as a mass storage device.

Try running a diagnostic scan on the USB device, this will probably only work with a Mass Storage Device, however, and you may need to take the device to a computer specialist store.
USB (Universal Serial Bus) is actually the name given to the hardware standard that allows for multipurpose input/output with corresponding devices. A USB drive, or USB Mass Storage Device, is one such device that uses USB to allow itself to store certain amounts of data (ex. 4GB of data).
The usb device will appear in "My Computer". Just find the movie file in the relevant location and open it as you would any other file.

The USB 2.0 and 3.0 device will work. USB 3.0 is backwards compatible with USB 2.0.
They work with any computer that has a USB port, to a USB device.

Check that the usb device is functional in the Device Manager, Some USB devices don't appear in Device Manager use the utility program that came bundled with the device to check for errors. No. Plug the device into another USB port. If it does not work after you have plugged it into all USB ports on the computer then you know that your device is not working.
First try moving the device to another USB port!!! Check that the usb device is functional in the Device Manager. some USB devices don't appear in Device Manager use the utility program that came bundled with the device to check for errors.
Short answer: you don't. The USB mass storage device can only be used to access pictures (at least as far as I have been able to use one). Long Answer: Don't know how you got a save game file onto the USB device, if it was from a PC then you won't be able to access the file from the XBOX 360 as the two have different file types for games.
