The guy was thinking that it wasn't fair for guys that girls get the Big Bash and guys don't. He also took in consideration that a boy becomes a man and they should have a coming of age or a rite of passage (a party) to those who wanted to. Since the date of 20 years of a man's life it's important to some Dominicans because they consider it that his actual teenage years are over. So he started this cool tradition of a new Milestone party with his friends for guys (of any ethety) that wanted a coming of age party and that was the Suerte Vente (in English translate is "Lucky 20). It's a brand new tradition, so it's rarely commented about. The only tradition is to simply ware something gold (socks, top, hat, ring, etc.) for good luck. Since he has a Chinise background gold and red are the colors considered lucky to this party.Cool themes for guys are applied to Suerte Vente like: Casino Party, Billiard Party, Mob Party, Pool Party, BBQ Party, Foam Party, Night Club Party or simply just a Big Bash. Sometimes the friends of the Suerte Vente guy get's them a stripper (I'm not saying that's part of the tradition).
