In the USA the National Christmas Tree is a large evergreen 26 foot Colorado Blue Spruce located outside the White House in Washington DC. The first tree was decorated in 1923, though the present tree was planted in 2011, when the trunk of the previous tree was damaged during a storm.
I believe that the pine tree is the national Christmas tree.
