a purebred is a pure breed with no mixes an example is a labrador retriever but if you mix it or cross it with a purebred poodle their offspring will be hybrids mixes of different breeds but if you mix a labrador retriever with another labrador retriever then you get a purebred so a purebred would not be a mix their mother and father would both be the same breeds an hybrid's mother and father would be different breeds.
