In optics, a virtual image is an image in which the outgoing rays from a point on the object never actually intersect at a visable point. However, if these rays were stretched out they would intersect at a point behind the mirror/surface.
image from which light rays diverge: an image from which reflected or refracted light rays appear to diverge. An optical image formed from the apparent divergence of light rays from a point, as opposed to an image formed from their actual divergence.
When light rays from an object strikes a plane mirror an image can be seen in the mirror the image appears to be the same distance behind the mirror as the object is in front this is a virtual image because no of light actually pass through
In,optics real image is an image which is located in the plane of convergence for the light rays that originate from a given object. If a screen is placed in the plane of a real image the image will generally become visible on screen
Image is upright
Image is virtual
Image is of same size as object
Image is laterally inverted
Distance from object to mirror is equal to the distance from the mirror to the image
yes, what do you think videogames are? (rhetorical) question.
Image seen in a plane mirror.
deffinition of virtual
What type of image does a flat mirror form?Virtual image
Convex lens produces both real and virtual images. But concave lens produces only virtual images for real objects. If object is virtual then real image could be produced by a concave lens.
When light rays come together, they converge.
A camera, television, lap top, glasses, psp, claw machine.
Because when you extend the light rays, they diverge and never meet. so you must always extend the light rays back behind the object, this will always result in the image being upright and erect. Meaning it will always be virtual, never real.
Its called a virtual image.
virtual :-)
A virtual image.
A Virtual Image
A plane mirror forms a virtual image. If it's reflected, then the light does not come from the image, and it is virtual.
Virtual is not what a human eye can see enot like a reael image
a virtual image
it will always create a virtual image because when you extend its light rays, they diverge and never end up intersecting. But if you extend these light ray backwards, they intersect to create a upright image which will always be virtual
A convex lense forms only a virtual image.
virtual image ( not on screen, brain interpreting)
An upright image, which is called a virtual image. If the focal point was outside of a concave mirror, then it would be a real image, which is inverted.
If an image can be formed on screen it is classified as real. Virtual images cannot be projected on an image.
