If an organism is "metamerically segmented", it is composed of many connected parts which are very similar in structure. For example, an earthworm is metamerically segmented, because if you look at it you can see lots of little rings. Check the Wikipedia page on "Metamerism" for more information.

Which phyla has metameric segmentation in the body of animals?

Metameric segmentation is a characteristic feature of the phylum Annelida, which includes segmented worms such as earthworms and leeches. These animals have a linear series of body segments that are repeated along the length of their body.

What is an amylene?

State the advantages of metameric segmentation in Annelids?

Annelids is one type of worm, their long and moist body composed of many internal organs that are duplicated all times. Well, by having metameric segmentation, they can still survive if one other segment damaged or injured.

What is meant by metameric segmentation?

In biology, metamerism is a linear series of body segments fundamentally similar in structure, though not all such structures are entirely alike in any single life form because some of them perform special functions.

What symmetry are the phylum hemichordata?

Adult Hemichordates exhibit bilateral symmetry, meaning their bodies can be divided into two similar halves along a single plane. However, during their larval stage, some species of Hemichordates show a form of metameric or radial symmetry.

What is a good project to do on color?

Just put on some things that may be interesting like a pattern of squiggly lines with different colors in it.- - - - -Study metameric failure.Metamerism is where two visually-similar colors can be produced from two technically-different colorant sets. For instance, you can make a tan thing by mixing 20 percent cyan, 30 percent magenta and 40 percent yellow...or you can go to Lowe's and buy a can of tan paint.Metameric failure is where a color looks different under different light sources. If you want to make a sheet of tan vinyl on your wide-format inkjet printer, you might mix up that color formula and send it to the printer. A day later, when the solvent evaporates, you laminate and you've got tan vinyl. Problem is, a lot of ink sets will give you a tan that looks tan inside but green outside--for some reason when you get a metameric failure the thing ALWAYS turns green. There's also a metameric failure where two colors next to each other look different from them printed separately, one where a small patch looks different from a large one...

Do secondary aminoacids show metamerism?

Yes, secondary amino acids can exhibit metamerism. Metamerism occurs when compounds have the same molecular formula but differ in the arrangement of their atoms, typically in relation to the functional groups. In secondary amino acids, the presence of different substituents on the nitrogen atom can lead to variations in structure while maintaining the same overall molecular formula, thus resulting in metameric forms.
